why he thought it was a good idea? Way too much Medical TV....I swear those silly shows make it seem like anyone can be a competent professional, especially if you happen to be a cocksure, arrogant, bullet-proof (ie: typical) 17 year old fool.

What a goober but it stated a man not a teen was responsible for falsely acting as a PA.

Sounds like that Vetinarian has been losing the plot for some time!!

The fellow pretending to be a surgical PA, working in an ER, was 17.

Does this thread make anyone else think of the movie "Catch Me If You Can"?

This goes much deeper then being a silly 17 year old. Most silly 17 year olds do things like get drunk & end up in the ER. They don't pretend to be an ER PA or an assistant to a surgeon.

This kid also posed as law enforcement deputy back when he was an explorer. He's telling everyone his mom is a high ranking HCA executive. He needs a psych eval & thats something that should have been done back when he misled people into thinking he was a cop. History of habitual lying from the way the article depicts him.

The scary thing is he was apparently convincing enough to pull off dangerous impersonations twice and full access to all kinds of equipment & the public in both scenarios.

Totally agree. I was saying "silly television shows", such as I listed, but the kid that did this was anything but "silly".

Bet this kid's got some psych history (as well as one he'll be working on in the future).

Default weird

I guess all hospitals are different, here every nurse knows every physician on their unit. You have to have a badge to gain access to certain parts of the floor and you have to have your badge on at all times. We question everything around here. All our patient charts are electronic so he would not have been able to gain access to any patient records.

This whole thing wreaks of shoddy work
