Default My Diploma Finally Showed Up!

I graduated Oct 23, 2011 and finally got my diploma. Notice under Bachelor of Science it says "Presidents Honors" ! Woot! Blocked my middle and last name for obvious reasons.

I could have gone through the graduation line but I didn't want to make the trip to Chicago. When I get my Master's I'll definitely walk the line!

I can so understand that! The only part of Chicago that I've seen is Midway Airport.... The only part of Chicago that I want to see is Wrigley Field!

They usually mail it, then hand you a fakie. LOL. That's how it's been for me with both degrees.

Nursing actually has two ceremonies on Graduation day. We all gather for breakfast, then at 0800 we have our pinning ceremony. Then we walk with everyone else at graduation to get our diplomas. Why they just can't add pinning on to the graduation ceremony is beyond me.... Nursing only graduates about 25 in December commencement.

Yep. Same here, they still mailed my diploma then handed out folders with nothing in 'em at the graduation. Pinning was also a separate ceremony.

Sarah, did your Dean pin you or could you have any nurse do the honors? In LPN school, we could have any nurse pin us.... but of course, I dropped out before I finished.

Not sure how IUP works theirs....

I would imagine it would differ by school, but my DON pinned me. We were only allowed to have a family member pin us alternately who was an RN that had proof of active licensure turned in prior to the pinning ceremony.
