Default International Nurses Association

There is an organization that calls themselves the International Nurses Association. Beware! If they call you, they are a scam. A woman with a nice voice tells you what a good nurse you are, blah, blah. It happens to newly graduated nurses, nurses of 10, 20, 30, and even 40 or more years.

She continues to tell you that you have been nominated to be in their exclusive association. Promises you a national write up online and in their publication. A nice plague and other benefits. It's only $599.00 plus $19.99 shipping. Of course they are nice enough to break it down for you in monthly payments. They take your money and you get zero, zip, ziltch.

Just thought I'd warm everyone. It seems they are starting their calls again. Just hang up on them.

Thanks for the heads-up. I screen my calls and refuse to answer anything I don't recognize unless I'm really curious or lonely for someone to talk to. I let the message go straight to my answering machine, complete with snarky message ("If you are a fundraiser, salesperson, or anyone else looking for money, please hang up and dial someone who might actually have some"). I used to get this scammer with what sounded like a Pakistani accent who would call and try to tell me that my computer was in danger. I told him nicely once or twice that I have a family member who handles such things and to please leave me alone. The next time he called back, I told him that I was going to file a formal complaint and dropped a load of F-bombs on his head (I considered this to be a State Occasion, as they used to say) and he never called back.
