Default Former dialysis nurse charged with injecting patients with bleach

The dialysis community is following this story closely.
Very disturbing.

To me we haven't been told the full story. Her father states that there is another side to the story and he hopes this will be exposed. Another person has written in and has stated something similar. As someone else said, why would a witness watch a nurse inject bleach? And why would the nurse save the syringes so they could be tested for bleach?

I'm not saying the nurse didn't do all these things. But it will be interesting to see what transpires. Keep us up to date...

I heard this story from a seasoned hemodialysys nurse...He was contracting out of Texas at a VA outpatient clinic. He left after all his charting was complete and the last nurse out the door runs bleach thru the machines.

He hears SCREAMING and sure enough a patient was STILL CONNECTED and had fallen asleep in the dark. What a way to go. The nurse said this guy was GREEN. But, a tragic accident.

There is no way to run bleach through the machines without diconnecting the pts. It's impossible to do.
