Default Boy stuck with 31 needles leaves Brazil hospital

Five of the needles inserted by toddler's stepfather still remain

The Associated Press
updated 3:57 p.m. ET, Fri., Jan. 22, 2010

RIO DE JANEIRO - A hospital in northeastern Brazil has released a toddler who underwent three surgeries to remove 26 sewing needles his stepfather stuck into him.

Ana Neri Hospital spokeswoman Susy Moreno says the 2-year-old was released to his mother Friday.

The child still has five needles in his body. Doctors say they do not pose a danger to his health and may be removed in the future.

The toddler's stepfather told Globo TV last month he stuck the needles into the child in an attempt to kill him without being discovered, all to spite his wife.

Police have formally accused him and his lover of attempted murder.

Beyond horrible. They need to do to the man what he did to the boy.

They need to take this freak and impale him on a large cactus in the middle of the desert somewhere.

Not a bad idea, but who's going to be the one to go down to Rio de Janeiro and grab the hairs and fingernail clippings?

Forget the hair and fingernail clippings. I'll gladly go down with about 6 dozen very large, very dull, and very dirty needles to do the deed myself.

That poor little child.
Nothing makes me more angry than creeps like this 'man' causing pain and injury on those that cannot defend themselves.
I pray they throw the book at him, he gets tossed into jail and ends up as some ones butt buddy!!!!! May he suffer as that poor child suffered.

I hope the standard we hold here in our prisons regarding child murders, rapists, abusers hold true in Brazil too. This guy deserves needles stuck in his eyes, nether regions or both. Damm what an awful thing to do to a defenseless child.
