Question Dialysis Nurse

Has anyone done dialysis nursing? Do you like it. What's the best and worse part of it. My hospital has cut our hours so bad we have to use pto time to keep my benefits. So I am thinking about switching from ER nurse to dialysis. But it's a big change and I would like to know what I am getting in to. Thanks
Any info is appreciated

I am in the same boat LDN. Right now I am doing float pool when they call me off just in the hopes off getting in hours. I have not done dialysis yet but let me know what you find out. I am looking for a prn job to supplement the " on call " days, plus it gives you new experiences so might be a good thing.

LDN, my friend does Dialysis and loves it. Have very busy days but she is always assured of a job due to the high demand for Dialysis. I say look into it and find out all you can.

So good to see you hon.

Very nicely said Andy. Glad to meet you. Please introduce yourself on the intro thread. What area of nursing do you currently work in? How long have you been a nurse ?
