Default Camp Lejeune here we come!

That's in NORTH CAROLINA!!!!

Ben got word today that we had two choices if I didn't want to go to Japan.

1. Go to Japan for 2 years alone.
2. Go to North Carolina for 3 years.

Naturally we went with North Carolina. So, in April I shall be on my way out there.

Today, I paid my $150 to start the paperwork. In 6-8 weeks I'll have a NC RN License. HOOORAY!

So... who is from that area? I think it's Onslow County out where I'll be living. Gimmie some hospital names I can start researching and applying to.

Congrats on not having to go to Japan!

North Carolina is gorgeous...I wouldn't mind living there...

Brother's Bestie did 6 years at Camp Lejune... he loved it... stayed there even after he did his 20 and retired.... he's still there!

Thanks Sabby! I'm going to be looking for jobs as soon as my NC BRN license clears. I'm willing to move ahead as I have a temp place to stay. We have friends there, which is the nice thing about being military; usually you know people all over. haha! :) So on the search for a job I will be in the next month or so.

Wow, this is GREAT! No more worrying about what the heck you'll be doing in Japan! Too bad you had to sweat through all that, but hey....you're staying Stateside! :)

I am VERY relieved. Now I am just waiting for my licensure to clear the board over in NC so I can start applying for jobs. WOO HOO!

Sabby, thanks for that link. That hospital doesn't seem to be hiring RNs outside of ER though at this time. I'll keep an eye out though on it. Something is bound to pop up sooner or later.
