Hi, I'm Lightning's Girl, an assisted living DON from Oregon. I chose LG for a user name because I'm a die-hard San Diego Chargers football fan.

I've been on various message boards over the years and am a moderator for a Chargers fan forum, along with being a freelance writer in my spare time.

I've been married to the same great guy for 31 years. We have four grown kids, four grandsons, three cats, and a VERY spoiled Pug mix dog named Zoey. But be warned: I'm also an outspoken conservative Catholic who's enjoying life in the PMZ (Postmenopausal Zest) zone, and I'm not afraid of a rousing political debate. I have been an RN for 35 yrs now and am loving my job as a hospice RN case manager.

Married to my darling for 12 yrs now and am so blessed to have him in my life. Two kids who I gained when marrying my honey and are the joys of my life.

One puppy who is 9 months old- Banjo was a rescue puppy and one wild child LOL

Kitty called Peakaboo who is a grumpy thing at time with the puppy LOL

Welcome and glad to have you here. I am a relatively new RN but was a LPN for 4 years before that on a busy med-surg floor. Now I have to work with Sabby and I must say, I love hospice work and my co-workers are pretty awesome too.

Welcome-sounds like you will fit right in to this motley crew. I am a seasoned nurse of 33 years, and if we stay married til the 11th, married 29 years. Two of the best girl children a mom could hope for.

I am from AL-working in Colorado. I am an occ health nurse right now but have a varied background. Be sure to post so we can get to know you better.....and WELCOME to the best little site in cyberspace.

I'm 45, two teenage sons, married to one Giants fan yelling at the TV in the Man Cave tonight, am owned by two self-involved cats (one of which is bleeding me dry on vet bills courtesy of his underachieving urinary system).

For the last five months I've been the nurse manager of a privately-owned endoscopy center (ASC); five years nurse/charge nurse of a crazy-busy medsurg hospital unit before that. Five years from now? Who knows :)
